Breaking the Silence: Navigating University Life as a First-Gen Student
Join us as we explore the unique struggles and challenges of being a first-gen student on campus, focusing on success beyond academics. We will share our own stories, highlighting the feelings of invisibility and the stigma often associated with our journeys. We’ll dive into the complexities of navigating university life—balancing personal expectations, family dynamics, and the pressure to succeed.
CAPS Drop-in Hour
Join us in a discussion on the identities of undocumented queer students, this event is a meaningful opportunity for allies to deepen their understanding and support for the community. Through artistic expression, tie-dye bandanas and mini canvas paintings, students will represent the flags and symbols that resonate with their identities. Let's come together to build more informed and supportive community, celebrating and acknowledging the strength and resilience of every individual!
USS Fall Mixer
Get ready for some hands-on fun arts and crafts! Get to know other students while you unleash your creativity as you make personalized accessories to take home. And don’t worry, we’ll have a variety of delicious snacks to keep your energy up while you mingle and craft.
